Welcome to the University of Bristol Commercial Awareness Society!

 

We were established in 2018 with the intention to develop the commercial awareness of our members and to provide our members with meaningful engagement with commercial-related extracurricular activities and events. Over the course of the 2024/25 academic year, we hope to equip our members with the skills and knowledge necessary for top careers in the City and other commercial hubs.

The foundation of the society this year will be our articles. These will be released every two weeks and will improve members’ understanding of the commercial world and the impact of recent commercial affairs. We will also host events which will give members a deeper understanding of the different sectors and will provide them with opportunities to network and ask questions directly to the people working in the different sectors. 

New this year will be the Commercial Awareness Competition. This will test members’ commercial awareness through a combination of short-answer based questions, a negotiation, a case study, and an interview. These will allow members to apply their knowledge in practical ways and create new connections. It will also prepare members for assessment centres by giving them the knowledge and confidence to succeed.
